Last of Star Trek and Message to Muslims

Here’s the last of the Star Trek videos. Sorry it took so long and my little extended vacation. I won’t bore you with the details. Instead, I want to talk a little about President Barack Obama recently reaching out to the Muslim world. For our soldiers to be able to do their work effectively in Muslim countries, it’s important that those who aren’t violent realize that we’re not there to shame their religion. This can go a long way in helping the long period AFTER the battle. As has been shown recently, this is becoming more crucial than the battles themselves in the modern world.

With the United States military so superior, they’ve been able to quickly accomplish the main objectives in Afghanistan and Iraq. However, they’re not leaving this time. That’s right. The US military has stayed behind to help rebuild this time. (Especially Iraq.) This is sending a message to the bad guys (those who intentionally use violence against civilians) and also the good guys – our new friends in the Muslim world.

By helping these countries rebuild, the US military is showing that we have what it takes not only to win the war, but to help rebuild for a better tomorrow.

Perhaps one day the entire planet may come together like Star Trek in a grand federation that conquers the universe, but until then, it’s up to the major power in the world – the United States – to show by example and by action that truth and justice are alive and well in the world and something to be strived toward. If you agree, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave a comment below.

Sgt. Stryker out.
